Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor, located in the suburb of Taman Klang Utama has been serving the local community, housing children from financially-challenged families since early 2010’s. The Kiwanis Club of Klang is also proud of have started a K-Kids club for the last 6 years.
This home suffered a fire damage in 2014, and with the generosity of the public, the administrators of this home was able to rebuild the affected areas.
Disaster struck again in 2021 when the floods hit Taman Klang Utama and then in the same year when the prime caretaker of the home, passed away due to covid complivations, which resulted in the home being thrown into a total state of chaos. Volunteers stepped up to take the role of the administrator, but without prior experience needed to administer and manage the home for over 20 children from various ages and ethnicity, the condition of the homes only worsened when flood waters damaged their food storage and an infestation of rodents didnt help either.
We estimate that this refurbishment of the home will cost approximately RM 70,000.00 and we are inviting you to contribute towards the refurbishment of this place and to make this home liveable once again for children.
OBJECTIVE
The Kiwanis Club of Klang is undertaking this project to crowd-fund the refurbishment of this home once again to for the well-being of the children living at this home. We will then monitor the
Work has already started with a total clean up of the entire house via the initial seed funding from an anonymous donor, but we need additional funds to refurbish the entire home. The children living there have been temporarily relocated to a nearly house during the renovation works. We have engaged architects to draw out plans to maximize the total number of occupants in that house – planned to refurbish the home with bunk beds, mattresses, pillows and blankets, plus a personal locker for their personal belongings.
