Message from ALVIN LEW, President 2023-2024

Firstly, a big “Thank You!!” to the Members of The Kiwanis Club of Klang for entrusting me to be their President for the 2023-2024 term. I must admit that I am a new member with a lot to learn  but promise everyone that I will do my absolute best to ensure we uphold the great culture and tradition that has been nurtured for over 34 years in KC Klang.

To our outgoing President, Fontaine, who was a rookie President just like me, has done a wonderful job leading the club over  the  past  year.   She was always there for us  despiteBeing a mother of two beautiful girls and a wonderful job leading the club. A big thank you for your service, dedication, and leadership. May I say that it’s going to be tough to match what you have achieved in the 2022-2023 administrative year. Thank you for a momentous year and I’ve learnt a lot over the last few events we did together.

I have quickly learnt that Kiwanis Clubs comprise of an amazing group of people, who put others above themselves, to serve the Children in our communities. It’s been a real pleasure and privilege to have had the opportunity to work with these people, who do not get paid for their efforts, but only find pleasure in seeing children grow up to have a better life. Being committed is never easy.

This year we are adopting the Kiwanis Malaysia Districts theme – One Team One Mission and I want us to have a razor focus in achieving our goals we have set ourselves.

I’ve learnt more than just giving and serving in Kiwanis. I’ve learnt to run meetings with proper governance and leadership. I’ve learnt that no matter how great we are individually; many things are not achievable without a wonderful team.

With this, I want to salute the entire team in the Kiwanis Club of Klang, and I urge those who are wanting to be part of a talented team to join us, to serve the Children of the World. And let’s have another wonderful year ahead!

President Alvin Lew

You can help make a difference!

Our KDSF Center needs your help. We are only able to collect about 18% of what we need to keep the center running. The difference is made through generous donations and fundraising activities organised by the Kiwanis Club of Klang and sponsorship from the public.
