Infant Stimulation Programme

(ISP) – 2 months to 2 years old

For infants from as young as 2 months to 2 years old. This programme is used to strenghten infant’s physical weaknesses (such as low muscle tone) through physiotherapy and occupational therapy so that child can achieve early goals, to be able to crawl; to explore and manipulate objects; to have better reflexes; memory and sound imitation skills.

Toddler & Special Education Programme

Toddler Programme (TOD) – 2 to 3 years old

For toddlers from 2 to 3 years old, TOD builds up on the child’s skills achieved so far, to help him or her move on the learning path. However more emphasis is now given to other skills development such as early language, pre-academic, story telling, music and art appreciation, all within an environment of fun and play.

Special Education Programme (SEP) – 4 to 6 years old

For those who are 4 to 6 years of age, SEP continues to strenghten the skills acquired so far. Apart from refining skilss in Gross and Fine Motor, Pre-Academic and Language, the child is now taught Selp-Help and Social Skills. These latter skills prepare them for the admission into primary school.

Learning Skills

1. Gross Motor Skills
Children need daily exercises to build strength in coordination and balancing. Physical activities like sports & swimming are given to help children improve their motor planning.

2. Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills in all children depends on a solid foundation of the gross motor skills. Children will be taught eye-hand coordination eg lacing cards, threading beads.

3. Pre Academic Skills
Sorting objects of different colours & shapes
Matching colors, Matching pictures, Matching alphabets

4. Language Skills
Receptive skills – using lots of concrete objects and pictures to teach. Understanding concept and communication
Expressive skills – More on communication. Naming pictures/objects, concept and social skills

5. Self Help Skills
Training on independent skills eg dressing & grooming, toilet training, feeding

6. Social Skills
Singing, Music & movement.
Activities like School concerts and Sports Day

7. Art and Craft
Drawing & painting

Our KDSF Center needs your help. We are only able to collect about 18% of what we need to keep the center running. The difference is made through generous donations and fundraising activities organised by the Kiwanis Club of Klang and sponsorship from the public.
